Technical Engineering Intern

As an intern at Synopsys, you will gain hands-on experience while working alongside industry professionals. You will develop and refine skills relevant to your major and future career by contributing to high-impact business projects. The Synopsys intern program integrates our interns into the culture with career opportunities upon graduation. This summer internship is full-time (40 hours/week) beginning May/June 2023 and will last three months.

 

Responsibilities:

As an intern, you will develop tools using Matlab to review performance metrics associated with the receiver in our SERDES IP. In particular metrics associated with the repeatability and reliability of adaptation and calibration algorithms for PAM4 standards like PCIe6. To develop these tools successfully, you will be guided in the nature of examining this data, and in what ways presenting it will enable the acceleration of the validation process. The tools would take the form of GUI’s that can be used to quickly identify and present key pieces of data gathered during the validation process.


Requirements:

  • Signals and Systems coursework
  • Transmission Line Theory coursework
  • RF Coursework or experience
  • Understanding of RLC Circuit fundamentals
  • Software proficiency in either Matlab, Python, Java, C, C++ or similar
  • Currently enrolled in college pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in relevant field

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $24.00 to $48.05. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
