Photogrammetrist
Qualifications:
Those who are interested in working as a Photogrammetrist must meet the following requirements:
- Be a student in the last year of courses at college or recent graduate.
- Be in good academic standing (2.75GPA desired, minimum 2.0 GPA at graduation) and graduating December 2025 or May 2026.
- Be studying Math, Science, Engineering, or Geography/Geospatial-related fields.
- Be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Authorized to work in the US.
Responsibilities:
- As a Photogrammetry Intern, you will have the opportunity to participate in activities associated with the Company's UAS/UAV Group.
- Aid in flight planning and control layout or aerial photography missions.
- Assist Survey group in capturing mapping control and test points, performing QAQC and calculations relating to photography missions and accuracy.
- Help staff in analysis, implementation, and orientation of geospatial data to develop geospatial and related products within the Photogrammetry Surveys Section.
- Gain experience and working knowledge through company offered training on use and implementation of OrthoVista, OrthoMaster, GlobalMapper, Autodesk, Carlson Survey, Pix4D, Trimble Software, VrMapper (including VrOrtho, VrOne, VrTwo), and other software packages commonly used within Photogrammetry and Surveying fields.
- Through training to be paid for by 6Guns, LLC, gain experience and working knowledge of Photogrammetry and assist with developing client relationships, and over time begin to manage and oversee projects and client relationships.
- Some travel (paid travel time, mileage, and per-diem) may be required.
- Applicants, if hired, would be required to commute to the main office near Wadestown, WV. Note that no mass-transit is available in the region, and prospective employees may be required to drive or arrange for transportation to the office.

6Guns, LLC is seeking hardworking Scientific, Engineering, Math, or Geotechnical students or recent graduates for full-time employment beginning before May 2026 as a Photogrammetrist. This position would offer competitive pay based on Experience, plus costs of initial training and certification as an ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist to be covered by employer (if a new hire leaves before 3 years, the direct costs of the certification program to be refunded; if an applicant is already certified or has additional training, additional signing bonus or pay will be provided). Employees have the opportunity to seek additional training, develop long-lasting client relationships, and pay raises with additional experience and qualifications. Your responsibilities will include quoting projects, generating Planimetrics, mapping and producing topographic data using aerial images, assisting with developing flight plans and planning out survey control for Aerial Mapping projects, and assisting with the capture of mapping control and test points for quality control and quality assurance of projects throughout West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, and elsewhere in the region.
Applicants will have costs covered for training on software for Aerial Mapping, as well as all courses and training for the ASPRS Certification Program for Certified Photogrammetrist (ASPRS Mapping Scientist) and/or ASPRS Mapping Technologist. Applicants also, if desired, can have costs covered to seek out certification under the company Professional Surveyor or Professional Engineer.
