If you're interested in launching a medical or dental career, the Navy offers a variety of programs that can help finance your graduate-level professional schooling all the way through residency. After graduation, you’ll become an Officer and professional serving in the world of Navy health care as a physician or dentist.
HEALTH PROFESSIONS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Bonus: $20,000
100% tuition covered Books, equipment, supplies and school fees covered
Monthly stipend $2,870
Enrolled/transferring to AMA/AOA accredited school
Maintain 3.0 cumulative GPA
US Citizenship required
Commissioned before 42 years of age
Meet medical/physical qualifications
3-year minimum contract, 4-year if electing bonus
Health Services Collegiate Program (HSCP)
The HSCP provides:
· From $157,000 up to $269,000 while finishing medical school or dental school
· An included monthly salary and housing allowance from $3,280 to $5,610 for up to 48 months of your program (housing allowance may vary depending upon location)
· 30 days paid leave
· TSP (similar to 401K) with 5% matching
Financial Assistance Program (FAP)
FAP provides:
· Potentially more than $275,000 during a typical four-year medical residency
· An included $45,000 annual grant on top of any residency program-based salary
· A monthly stipend in excess of $2,200 to cover living expenses for up to four years
Once Active Duty
· Receive comprehensive health coverage for entire family
· Eligible for more financial assistance for an advance degree
