Patent Agent Intern

Troutman Pepper Locke’s Intellectual Property practice group is seeking highly qualified rising sophomore, junior or senior undergraduate students to join our Patent Agent Intern program. Candidates must be pursing an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, material science engineering, or have significant experience with those technologies. Ideal candidates will be able to manage multiple duties and deadlines, work in a fast paced, busy environment and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

• Sound business judgment and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Ability and willingness to research and comprehend complex technological innovations.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
• Highly motivated, persuasive, priority-driven, and collaborative.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and with teams to promote consistent and efficient workflow processes.
• Ability to self-manage and work independently in a hybrid, and in-office setting.
