Civil Engineering Intern

Job Responsibilities:

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to support our licensed engineers and other team members on various infrastructure projects and corresponding activities. Duties will include:

  • Assist Construction Services Manager and other Bollig staff with construction observation and documentation activities and project management
  • Assist with construction staking and as-built record keeping
  • Support engineering and design staff on projects as needed
  • Assist with internal project activities, tracking, prepping for Council meetings, etc.
  • Review project specification compliance and quantity tracking 
  • Other tasks as assigned 

 

Skills and Competencies Desired: 

  • Seeking a degree in civil/environmental engineering, construction management, or related major
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a willingness to learn and attention to detail
  • Ability to make a positive impression with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work indoors or outdoors for extended periods of time 
  • Willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks in different site conditions
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license 
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs
  • Aptitude in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint
