Perioperative Nurse

Responsibilities
- Perioperative Care: Deliver comprehensive care in multi-service operating rooms during complex surgical procedures.
- Surgical Assistance: Manage specialized supplies/equipment, assist surgeons and anesthesiologists, and provide intra/post-operative care.
- Collaborative Care: Work as part of a surgical team to implement effective care plans.
- Education: Teach patients and staff about pre- and post-operative care, recovery expectations, and procedures.
- Global Service: Serve in Navy medical facilities, aboard hospital ships, or during humanitarian missions worldwide.
- Technology: Operate advanced medical and surgical equipment to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited program
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years perioperative nursing experience (Active Duty); Reserve requires at least 1 year
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted RN license (new grads must obtain licensure within one year)
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen
- Age: Must be commissioned before age 42 (waivers may be considered case-by-case)
- Physical: Meet Navy physical fitness and medical standards
- Commitment: Minimum 3 years Active Duty service obligation (Reserve service obligations vary)
