Bookkeeper & Accountant, Client Manager
We are a rapidly expanding bookkeeping and business management firm seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team on a permanent part-time to full-time basis. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily cash transactions including deposits, credit card charges, and daily sales entries
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks is required and Peachtree/Sage preferred;
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
- Maintain general ledger and detailed accounting records for all accounts
- Conduct regular follow-up on client accounts and investigate/resolve discrepancies
- Prepare weekly accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) reports
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts; manage communications and follow-ups
- Generate accurate monthly financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, budgets, and custom reports
- Maintain thorough and organized documentation and general ledger work
- Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a college program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional and courteous in all interactions
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Office applications
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently under pressure
- Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive
- Must provide at least two professional references
