Medical Management Intern

This role has the goal of providing the opportunity to acquire practical experience through direct exposure to the related business and to develop the next generation of diverse healthcare management professionals. This opportunity will provide hands-on training and experience in the business and in clinical operations. This will prepare participants for positions for medical practice management with strong clinical skills.

Position creates and opportunity obtain the ability to: Design, implement, evaluate, modify, and oversee specific Medical Management Operations within the practice Oversee the centralized medical management operations including the development of key performance metrics, policies, procedures, workflows, training and auditing Monitor and manage workflow/work volumes in centralized medical management operations Evaluate existing medical management practices and identify best practices. Explore new approaches to work processes by utilizing continuous process improvement techniques to eliminate waste and ensure resources are allocated to high value activities

This is a hands on leadership training position.

Education/Experience: Medical Assisting / Nursing related field or equivalent experience preferred. 1+ years of medical leadership experience preferred. Previous management experience including responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of staff preferred.

90 days time commitment for the right candidate with a flexible schedule.   Minimum weekly time commitment is 1 weekday a week.
