Nursing Student / Care assistant needed

Nursing student to care for 74 year old man with advanced dementia. 

Mentoring opportunity:  My husband and I own a medical practice. We are willing to teach the candidate about stroke, dementia, medications, treatments and observations. We train and teach upcoming health care staff as well in our medical practice.

 Location:  My brother is located at a beautiful location: Sunrise Assisted living in Newton corner. The staff there are very warm, loving and highly motivated to the care of the patients. They will to help this candidate with my brother, as needed.

Skills: Compassionate, highly motivated to make the patient comfortable. Feeding, diaper changing (about 3 times/day), transferring to chair and bed. My brother needs full care care as all ADL's are gone.  One key skill is the respect and compassion shown to my brother. He will notice if someone is going through the motions and will act out to get his needs met.

Five years of experience with ADL's and geriatric population and working in healthcare required.

. Experience with Alzheimer disease a real plus. Might consider sponsoring certification in Alzheimer's.

Help is needed Sunday and Wednesday 8AM to 8 PM.  $33/hour paid by check.
