Human Resources Specialist
Alliance Industries is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join our team! The Human Resource Specialist assists in the administration of all areas of Human Resources (policies, procedures, practices, programs, benefits, talent acquisition, payroll, safety, etc.). The HR Specialist will be part of and collaborate with the HR team to support business operations, and organizational and HR-related projects.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as a point of contact for employees related to HR policies, procedures, benefits, etc. (or escalates to the appropriate person as needed)
- Assists with recordkeeping (paper and electronic) related to all aspects of the employment cycle (onboarding, off-boarding, performance and development, etc.)
- Coordinates leave administration paperwork (FMLA, STD, WC, etc.).
- Handles routine Unemployment responses.
- Supports the Talent Acquisition processes by arranging for pre-employment testing, etc.
- Leads new hire onboarding including new hire orientations, including pre- and post- orientation paperwork and activities.
- Supports managers & supervisors with HRIS system navigation.
- Assists with payroll and time & attendance recording, processing and issues.
- Audits HR files / systems as needed for compliance.
- Assists with the facilitation and delivery of HR related training and development activities.
- Ensures positive employee relations by proactive employee communication, prompt issue resolution and fair & equitable treatment.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of HR or related experience preferred
- Knowledge of RH laws and best practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and excellent organization abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
