CAD Drafting & Design position for a Graduating Senior

Salary range of $56,000 to $60,000

Do you have a 4-year Mechanical or Civil Engineering degree with current Drafting (CAD) or 3D Modeling (SolidWorks) experience?

Looking to kick-off your career in Manufacturing Drafting?

We have an entry-level position with a manufacturing company located in the Allentown, PA area as an Engineering Draftsperson with Project Estimating responsibilities to support the company's Storm and Wastewater businesses.

This position will utilize established techniques, standards, and tools like computer-aided drafting software to prepare technical drawings to support evaluation and bidding opportunities for residential and commercial construction projects in eastern PA.

Schedule: Mon-Fri (Onsite), 7:30a-4:00p
 

The Impact You'll Make:

• Prepare project take-off, layout, and shop drawings for customer review approval.
• Engage directly with customers to ensure specifications and lead time are met.
• Work with sales and production to contribute accurately and efficiently.
• Use AutoCAD/Solid Works to create and maintain required design drawings and project documentation.
• Establish Bill of Materials based on structural layout.
• Verify completeness and accuracy of layout and drawings for design estimates.
• Additional, related duties as required.

Qualified candidates will have: 

• 4-year degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited program. 
• Experience using SolidWorks or AutoCAD required along with demonstrated ability to read civil engineering drawings and interpret specifications. 
• A high attention to detail and work well in a team environment. 
• Proficiency with MS Office applications such MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is preferred.
