Impact ROI Work-based Learning Position - $3000 Award!

  1. Our Impact ROI Intern program runs in the summer (May - August); approximately 10-20 hours per week. Start/end dates and hours/week are flexible. There is a $3000 award at the end of this work-based learning program. Your main area of focus will be setting up and running summer youth volunteer outreach programs. The chosen ROI candidate will: 
  • Assist as a Team Leader during Project Impact Summer Service Camp sessions. June 1-5, 2026 from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. This week is mandatory.
  • Reach out to local youth organizations to arrange summer volunteer days.
  • Set up select volunteer project sites at/with local non-profits.
  • Create and lead pop-up volunteer projects for youth on the HOTC campus.
  • Using provided materials and scripts, lead small groups of youth at select volunteer project sites. Connect volunteer activity to service learning insights.
  • Track agencies, projects, volunteers, hours, and feedback for annual statistics review.

You must be 18 or older by start date, in good physical health, have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation. The ideal person will be flexible, organized, quick to learn, a good public speaker, comfortable working with youth and adults, and have a heart for doing good! After training, this person will ideally spend most of their time working independently in the field with minimal oversight by staff. 2) Our standard non-award internship requires 10-20 hours per week, typically during the summer months. You will assist with all aspects of running a busy non-profit, and assist with summer programming. Open to mature high school and college-age students.
