Research Assistant, Chem & BioChem
Position Type: Federal Work Study And Non Work Study
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The undergraduate research assistant will support an education research project examining undergraduate teaching assistant roles and the potential adoption of the Learning Assistant model within the College of Engineering and Science.
- Primary responsibilities include processing qualitative data, such as organizing, transcribing, and coding interview transcripts
- Assisting with data management; and contributing to the development of analytic codebooks and summary memos.
- The student will work closely with faculty mentors, receive training in disciplinary-based education research methods, and contribute to the preparation of research findings for conference presentations and manuscripts.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- A student enrolled at the University of Detroit Mercy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Has been a Teaching Assistant previously
Anticipated Schedule:
- 5 hours per week
