Maintenance Technician Intern

Location Requirement: Candidates must live in Wisconsin or be able to commute from Illinois for the duration of the internship.

 

The Maintenance Technician Intern provides hands-on support to the Maintenance and Calibration team by assisting with equipment, tooling, and preventive maintenance activities. This role supports daily maintenance operations while gaining practical experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. The intern will work under the guidance of experienced technicians and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to help ensure equipment readiness, reliability, and compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with equipment, tooling, and corrective maintenance activities under the guidance of maintenance and calibration technicians.
  • Support routine preventive maintenance (PM) activities and basic troubleshooting of mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
  • Help organize, maintain, and update maintenance records, logs, and documentation in accordance with quality system requirements.
  • Participate in maintenance planning and organization efforts to improve equipment readiness and overall reliability.
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and applicable GMP/ISO requirements while performing assigned tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners, including Engineering, Quality, and Operations, to support maintenance-related activities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have completed at least their sophomore year of college by May 2026.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in a related field such as Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, or a similar technical discipline.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions, SOPs, and safety requirements in a regulated environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
