Program Assistant - Summer 2026

$6,000 for 4.5 weeks of work.

Program Assistants (PAs) are the backbone of Camp Sweeney—the largest summer camp in the world for children with Type 1 diabetes. Working behind the scenes and on the front lines, PAs help uphold a program that impacts hundreds of campers and families each year.

PAs operate in small, tight-knit teams on rotating weeklong shifts, building real leadership, accountability, and teamwork while keeping camp running at the highest level. Whether it’s refueling jet skis for Waterpark, picking up minnows for Fishing, coordinating nighttime event setup, or making late-night snack runs, PAs truly do everything in between!

Most PAs are DFW or local college-aged students who commute to camp. Lodging and meals are provided during shifts, and pay is $163/day (~$6,000 total).
