Engineering Design Technician

SkyBlade Fan Company, a global HVAC manufacturer based in Warren, Michigan, is seeking an Engineering Design Technician to join our team. This hands-on role supports product design, testing, and technical troubleshooting for our Michigan-made HVLS fans. The ideal candidate is energetic, self-directed, and capable of managing design work, testing, and live technical calls with minimal supervision.

Experience Level: 2–5 years preferred (strong intern-level candidates may be considered)

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify 2D and 3D drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and Inventor
• Support product design, updates, and engineering documentation
• Assist with electrical controller-related design projects (electrical background preferred)
• Take inbound technical calls and assist with real-time problem solving
• Perform product testing and validation activities
• Maintain organized engineering files and documentation

Education & Experience

• 2–5 years of relevant engineering or design experience preferred
• Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (electrical preferred)
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD required
• Experience with Inventor or SolidWorks strongly preferred
• Internship or strong entry-level candidates may be considered
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred

• Comfortable balancing testing, design, and call responsibilities
