College Internship Experience
Job description
Overview: The College Internship Experience at North Metro Church is designed for enrolled undergraduate college students who want to understand and experience the local church's inner workings to decide if they wish to pursue vocational ministry. Its purpose is to help students become more aware of their character, competencies, strengths, and weaknesses while increasing their understanding of the disciple-making process in the local church. Students will explore different ministries behind the scenes and what is needed to make each ministry function and thrive. This is a paid 9-month internship averaging 10-20 hours/week, depending on the individual intern's schedule and the manager's needs.
Responsibilities:
- Attend and participate in weekly intern meetings (Mondays, 3-5pm) at the main campus at 2305 Ernest Barrett Parkway, Marietta.
- Complete all training components of the curriculum.
- Participate in all staff shadowing opportunities (Sundays, 7:30am-1pm).
- Communicate weekly availability on scheduling platforms and complete assigned projects.
- Complete NMCU 101 and 102 Bible Classes on-demand.
- Submit weekly time sheets.
Time Investment 10-20 hours weekly
Ministry Specific Prerequisites:
- Clear background check
- Desire to learn about the vocational side of the church
- Professional written & verbal communication skills
- Team player
