Ozer Engineering is a boutique structural engineering firm specializing in existing buildings. Our work focuses on assessing, repairing, and strengthening structures so they can continue serving the next generation.
We are seeking an entry-level Structural Engineering Technician to support building assessments and field-based structural work. You will work directly with a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and gain hands-on experience evaluating real structures.
Responsibilities
- Assist with structural assessments of residential and commercial buildings
- Perform field investigations and site visits
- Document structural conditions and deficiencies
- Do drawing sets using Revit, ArcSite.
- CA Project Management: schematic analysis and translate that into construction documents.
- Support preparation of engineering reports and letters
- Participate in construction observation
- Field work may include attics, crawlspaces, roofs, and construction sites.
Qualifications
- Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering degree (or graduating soon)
- Interest in structural engineering and existing buildings
- Strong observation and communication skills
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Students authorized to work under CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT are welcome to apply. Ozer does not sponsor work visas.
- Preferred: FE/EIT or intent to pursue PE licensure.
Relocation Bonus
- $1,500 relocation bonus available for candidates relocating to Memphis
- Paid after 90 days of active employment
- This bonus is not a reimbursement of specific expenses and is paid at the Company’s discretion
