CAD Designer/Drafter

CAD Drafter / Designer (Intern or Entry-Level)

Pathfinder Systems is a leader in designing and manufacturing custom industrial blower packages for the pneumatic conveying industry. Our equipment plays a critical role in warehouse-wide and plant-wide systems across a wide range of applications. No two jobs are the same as every system is designed to meet a customer’s specific needs.

We’re looking for a motivated and well-rounded CAD Drafter/Designer who is eager to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience in a real manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning concepts into build able designs and wants exposure to how engineered systems come together from start to finish.

 

What You’ll Do

Work under the guidance of a Project Engineer to develop 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor

Translate verbal instructions, customer specifications, and concept sketches into detailed part and assembly drawings for manufacturing

Assist with equipment layouts, sheet metal design, and general fabrication drawings

Support ongoing projects across different market segments and applications

Learn how custom industrial packages are designed, reviewed, and released for production

 

What We’re Looking For

Currently pursuing a Certificate, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Computer-Aided Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field

Enrolled and in good academic standing in a post-secondary or technical program

Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD

Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing workloads

Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment

Self-motivated, eager to learn, and interested in growing within the field

Clear verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated leadership, whether through school, work, or extracurricular activities

Prior CAD or product design experience is a plus (internships, coursework, or projects)

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without future visa sponsorship
