High Spirit Community Farm is a small community of three adjacent households, in the town of Great Barrington, in the Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts.  We are a group of people, both with and without disabilities, who enjoy community life, simple farming, being outdoors, homemade meals together, and making the most out of each day.     

We are looking for people who wish to be trained in care for people with intellectual disabilities and autism, who will bring creativity and energy to life each day.  We’re looking for someone who has the drive to do more than ordinary things with our residents, and who will take the initiative to imbue value in the smaller moments of life by choosing to go for a walk or by making the effort to include everyone in conversations even when it might be challenging to do so.

This position is ideal for someone looking to build a foundation for the next chapter of their life.  Those looking to clock in and clock out will likely be unsatisfied in this role, but those seeking to build essential skills in program coordination and interpersonal communication will find a rewarding and involving experience to be had at High Spirit Community Farm.

Compensation is a stipend of $1000/month for a full time-schedule which includes some evenings and weekend days. Benefits include a private room in one of our houses and communal meals. In addition to room and board, employees enjoy 2 days off per week, and 240 hours of time off that covers vacation, sick time and holidays.
