UV LED Product Development Intern

Summer Internship | 20–40 Hours per Week | Immediate Start

Clearstone Technologies is seeking a motivated engineering student or early-career designer to join our team as a UV LED Product Development Intern. This internship offers hands-on experience in mechanical design, prototyping, and product development within a growing high-tech manufacturing environment.

Interns will work directly with experienced engineers on real-world UV LED systems used in industrial and commercial applications. This is an opportunity to gain practical experience in CAD design, fabrication methods, thermal and optical systems, and the product development process from concept through manufacturing.

What You’ll Learn

• Mechanical design using Autodesk Fusion 360
• Sheet metal and machined component design
• Product prototyping and fabrication techniques
• Thermal and optical design considerations
• Engineering documentation and manufacturing preparation
• Collaborative product development in a small engineering team

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical design of UV LED equipment
• Create and revise CAD models and technical drawings
• Help prepare manufacturing documentation and specifications
• Support prototyping and testing activities
• Work alongside engineers on development projects and custom systems

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for students or candidates with an interest in mechanical design and product development. Ideal candidates may have experience or coursework involving:

• Autodesk Fusion 360
• Sheet metal enclosure design
• 3D printing or laser cutting
• Robotics or hands-on fabrication projects
• Thermal or optical modeling concepts

Candidates do not need to meet every qualification to apply.

Compensation

• $15–$19 per hour, depending on experience
