Help Desk Technician

$14-16/hr. dependent upon experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via phone, email, ticket
- Perform tier 1 remote troubleshooting diagnostics and resolve technical hardware and software issues
- Advise users on appropriate resolution action
- Escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support
- Follow standard help desk procedures
- Log all help desk interactions, events, problems and their resolution in a ticketing system
- Follow up with customers and users to ensure complete resolution of issues
Job Requirements: (preferred skills)
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
- Experience as a help desk technician or other customer support/service role (IT preferred but not required)
- Ability to follow instructions to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
- Basic proficiency and understanding of computers.
- Minimum commitment of 12 hours per week
