Entry-Level Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer will design products to customer specifications, while adhering to industry standards.  Continually enhance designs using the latest design software and materials to deliver a highly engineered, cost competitive product of superior quality.

 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Supervised interaction with customers (both internal and external) to understand technical requirements and resolve issues.
  • Supervised interaction with vendors and service providers to understand technical requirements and resolve issues.
  • Complete assigned design and technical development projects independently.
  • Work on assigned tasks related to large scale engineering projects.
  • Prepare technical drawings. 
  • Source new parts from vendors. 
  • Design components as needed. 
  • Design and quote in-scope engineered and standard designs.
  • Provide support to purchasing, production, quality and logistics as directed.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Product Engineering Manager and/or the Lead Product Engineer.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)

Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering accepte with 2 years minimum industry or relevant engineering experience and actively seeking a Bachelor level degree

Certifications: Engineer-in-Training / Fundamentals of Engineering (Not required)

Experience: Pipe stress analysis and finite element analysis experience 

Experience working with piping systems or pressure vessels 

Experience with metal fabrication and manufacturing 

Experience with product testing and failure analysis

  • Mechanical and technical proficiency.
  • Administrative computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office).
  • Proficiency with 3-D CAD & modeling programs (e.g. Solidworks).
