Ministry Summer Intern

Overview

  • A 3-month full time (40hrs/week) position that starts in May and ends in August.

Each Intern will participate in a weekly seminar, with other interns, focused on understanding and developing leadership skills and various facets of ministry and operations within a church.

  • In addition to ministry training, coaching and discipleship, Providence may potentially invest in books, conferences, supplies, and exposure to national and international mission trips if deemed appropriate for the development of the intern.  

Expectations

Spend 16 hours/week:

  • Reading various ministry resources and discussing them.
  • Writing four reflection papers throughout the summer regarding ministry philosophy and ministry calling.
  • Participating in a weekly cohort-style meeting with all fellow interns, learning from different church ministry leaders and discussing reading and writing assignments.

Spend 24 hours/week:

 

  • Working alongside ministry coaches/partners furthering ministry goals and objectives.
  • Attending all ministry specific outreach and discipleship events.
