Lab Assistant Biology

Position Type: Federal Work Study And Non Work Study

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Conduct DNA barcoding experiment. This includes DNA isolation, polymerase chain reaction, agarose gel electrophoresis, photo documentation, and bioinformatics.
• The students need to keep an up-to-date laboratory notebook.
• Additional activities included maintaining a functional laboratory workspace (e.g., cleaning glassware and keeping the workspace clear and safe).

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• The research assistant must be proficient in sterile techniques.

Anticipated Schedule:

• 20 hours/Week for four weeks
