Computer Lab Assistant Architecture

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Computer Lab Assistant supports the daily operations of the SACD Computer Lab by assisting students, faculty, and staff with basic technology needs, maintaining a clean and organized lab environment, monitoring equipment, and providing general departmental support.
  • The Computer Lab Assistant is responsible for promptly reporting malfunctioning equipment, software issues, and facility maintenance concerns to appropriate staff to help ensure a safe and functional computer lab environment.
  • This position helps ensure the computer lab remains a welcoming, functional, and productive resource for all users.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Architecture Student

Preferred Qualifications (if any):

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to assist students, faculty, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with common software applications.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic technology issues, promptly report equipment malfunctions, software issues, and facility concerns, and escalate complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to maintain a clean and orderly computer lab environment. •Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Anticipated Schedule:

  • Monday-Sunday, 8:30-6:00pm
