Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Plot Lab Assistant supports SACD students by assisting with large-format printing and plotting services for studio projects.
  • This position receives on-the-job training to operate and perform basic maintenance on largeformat plotters, assists students with print preparation and production, monitors printing equipment and supplies, and helps maintain an organized, safe, and efficient Plot Lab environment.
  • The Plot Lab Assistant communicates with the SACD Main Office regarding lab operations, supply needs, and equipment issues while providing courteous, timely customer service to students, faculty, and staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Architecture Student

Preferred Qualifications (if any):

  • Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn the operation and basic maintenance of large-format plotters.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate print setup and high-quality output.
  • Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn printing software and equipment.
  • Ability to lift and transport rolls of plotter paper and other printing supplies as needed.

Anticipated Schedule:

  • Monday- Sunday, 8:00a-10:00p
