Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide tutoring for one or more of the following courses in the OD1 curriculum: OPT8101, OPT8102, OPT8110, OPT8123, OPT8121, OPT8122, OPT 8110, and Clinical Foundations Lab & Geometric Optics Lab.
- Be available for one-on-one or small-group tutoring support for students in the first year of the Doctor of Optometry program.
- Schedule sessions during breaks, evenings, or weekends throughout the semester. Provide tutor-led review sessions for students as needed during exam periods (midterm & finals).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Successful completion of the OD1 curriculum with a minimum GPA of 3.4.
- Previous experience as a student leader, peer tutor, peer educator, and/or resident advisor during undergraduate or graduate education.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (if any):
- Ability to manage multiple students in need of tutoring at one time; excellent interpersonal communication, organization, and timely response skills.
Anticipated Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 4pm-8pm or Saturday & Sunday 9am-9pm (10 hrs per week
