Tax Preparer

Looking for students who have passed at least their first tax class with a B or higher. This job involves primarily preparing income tax returns but will also involve other accounting work as needed. This is an excellent opportunity to earn some money, get experience prior to graduating and possibly be selected to work full time.  We are a growing firm and an excellent place to work. We have a relaxed atmosphere. We start at $15 an hour but also add on commissions. We pay 10% of your billings. Our average return is $225 and generally do a return in an hour. We also pay an additional 10% if you bring the client in personally. In short, if you are making only $15 an hour you aren't doing it right. Generally you should earn over $20 an hour doing this. We have a history of hiring from our seasonal pool.  Although the start is in January we will have a “boot camp” for a week to prepare everyone for the coming season and familiarize new people to our software. You will be paid for your time in participating. This will be scheduled based on the team we have as the time approaches.
