Physical Therapy Technician (On‑the‑Job Training Provided)

Schedule: 30–40 hours per week Location: Louisville, KY

We are seeking a motivated, patient‑focused Physical Therapy Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about healthcare, enjoys working directly with people, and is ready to learn through hands‑on, on‑the‑job training. You will play a key role in supporting our therapists and ensuring a smooth, positive experience for every patient.

Key Responsibilities

Greet patients and help create a welcoming, professional clinic environment

Assist therapists with instruction, setup, and performance of therapeutic exercises

Participate in taking and recording vital signs as directed

Set up patients for exercise programs and provide supervision during performance

Prepare, apply, and monitor therapy modalities (heat, ice, electrical stimulation, etc.) under therapist guidance

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the facility

Support therapists and front office staff with general clinic flow as needed

Training & Support

This role includes structured on‑the‑job training, ensuring you learn:

Proper exercise techniques and safe patient handling

How to set up and monitor therapy equipment

Clinic workflow, documentation basics, and patient interaction skills

Professional standards for patient care and facility maintenance

Qualifications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Interest in physical therapy, exercise science, or healthcare

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Reliable, punctual, and comfortable in a fast‑paced clinical environment

Prior experience in healthcare or fitness is helpful but not required
