Honors Program Assistant Academic Affairs

Position Type: 

  • Federal Work Study Only.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Honor Program Assistant will work closely with the Co-Directors, Program Coordinator, and Executive Board to support Honors Program events, host student-led programming, and maintain the Gardella Honors House.

Job duties may include the following:

  • Set-up and clean-up events.
  • Photography/documentation of events.
  • Hosting student-led programming in the Gardella Honors House.
  • Basic cleaning and organization of Gardella Honors House.
  • Communicating facilities/housekeeping needs with Co-Directors.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled and in good standing in the Honors Program.
  • Must be a second-year student or above.
  • Availability for regular time spent in Gardella and for occasional evening and weekend events.

Preferred Qualifications (if any):

  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Previous event support experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (if any):

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Organization & attention to detail.
  • Reliability & timeliness.

Anticipated Schedule:

  • 1-4 hours per week, scheduled at the discretion of the employee and Honor.
