Cyber Center Lab Technician
Cyber Center Lab Technician aid in keeping the Cyber Lab technology running smoothly and efficiently and provide technical support to students, faculty, and staff.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Provide technical assistance to students, faculty, and staff.
· Answer technical support emails promptly in a professional manner and greet in-person patrons to work with the equipment in the Cyber Center Lab.
· Clean and maintain lab equipment, track inventory and keep accurate records.
· Assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues on a variety of computer systems.
· Provide password and login assistance for users working on the Lab equipment.
· Provide assistance with computers, and other resources and devices.
· Prepare lab equipment for any upcoming research experiments.
· Other miscellaneous technology-related tasks.
Other tasks may include:
· Perform RAM, hard drive replacements, software installations, upgrades, and much more.
Competencies & Qualifications:
· Must be respectful, dependable, honest, discreet, and have a high degree of personal integrity.
· Must be comfortable as an independent learner and self motivated.
· Must have accurate spelling and grammar, and the ability to communicate well in written form.
· Ability to keep detailed records
· Knowledge of computer operating systems, cybersecurity and digital forensics software tools
· Excellent attention to detail
· Good teamwork skills
· Experience working with lab equipment
· Research and analysis skills
Compensation will be based on experience.
Student Cyber Center Lab Technician may work no more than twenty hours per week.
