University Ministry Sacristan
This Non-Workstudy sacristan position is open to current students. It is primarily setting up, serving (similar to altar serving) during the Roman Catholic Masses and cleaning up after the Sunday 9PM Student Masses on McNichols campus in St. Ignatius Chapel in the Commerce and Finance Building (approximately 2 hours each Mass). The student will be trained by a Roman Catholic priest with all the logistics for set up and clean up. The student sacristan will support the priests who preside at the Masses at least 1-2 times per month. The student may also be asked to be sacristan at special Masses throughout the academic year (Holy days of Obligation, Ash Wednesday, etc.). This can also include reading from Scripture or serving as a Eucharistic Minister during Mass but that is optional.
