Graduate Assistant - Student Success Center
Position Type: Federal Work Study and Non-Work Study
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the Coordinator and Access Specialist in Student Accessibility Services to help support students.
- Registered in Student Accessibility Services.
- Liaison with student applicants on the process for registering for SAS services.
- Train and troubleshoot transcription software for students.
- Motivate and support students through positive feedback and reinforcement.
- Perform front desk activities, including phone calls, record-keeping, and tutoring-coordination.
- Proctor and support Testing Center activities.
- Provide support to all Student Success Center professional staff as needed.
- Perform other office duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Proficiency in ADOBE Acrobat Pro
- Student attending UDM
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Advanced ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate student needs and campus responsibilities to faculty, staff, and students throughout the organization.
- Demonstrated cultural proficiency in connecting with and serving students from varying cultural backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and respect confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced user of Symplicity Software Solutions/Accommodate Bachelors Degree.
Anticipated Schedule:
- M-F, flexible work hours
