Ambassador, CHASS, CLAE

Position Type: Federal Work Study and Non-Work Study

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

CHASS Student Ambassador Program is pivotal in bridging the gap between the university and prospective students, offering an authentic and relatable connection to campus life. These ambassadors serve as living testaments to the university's culture, fostering a sense of community and shared experiences. They play a crucial role in showcasing the diverse opportunities, academic excellence, and vibrant campus environment, compellingly advocating for CHASS. By embodying the values and spirit of CHASS, student ambassadors create a welcoming and informative atmosphere, guiding and inspiring future students towards a successful educational journey.

CHASS Student Ambassador Duties: 

  • Advocate for CHASS.
  • Attend CHASS and UDM events. 
  • Engage with prospective students and community. 
  • Assist with event needs (set up, tear down, handouts) 
  • Social Media 
  • Create content for assigned departments on a weekly schedule working with Alex Hichel. 
  • Academic Presentations and Demonstrations 
  • Winter 2024: Assist departments in creating 10-minute (Visit, PTV, SOAR) presentations.
  • ZeeMee – participate in answering prospective student questions. 
  • CHASS accepted students push. o Assist with outreach to accepted students in CHASS programs. 
  • Phone-a-thon, other events and social engagements.
  • Targeting programs, tracking data for growth and outcomes. 
  • Assistance CHASS with campus tours and Titan for a Day experiences.
  • Other tasks as needed.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Student at UDM Majoring in the Humanities, Arts or Social Sciences. 3.0 GPA

Anticipated Schedule: 

Varies: 5-20 hours a week.
