Job Description And Duties

The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation is recruiting for three Permanent Full-time Financial Institutions Examiner (FIE) positions' within the Division of Corporations and Financial Institutions' Banking Division. The positions are located in the Los Angeles office(s) located at 300 S. Spring Street, Suite 15513, Los Angeles. This recruitment may be used to fill subsequent vacancies of these positions within the next 180 days.

Under the close supervision of a Financial Institutions Manager (FIM), the FIE's are responsible for participating in the examinations of State licensed banks, foreign banking organizations, and trust companies conducted in accordance with the Uniform Financial Institutions Rating System and the California Financial Code. The FIE's may be assigned either as a team member or lead examiner and is responsible for reporting their conclusions in a memorandum of their assigned area or in a Report of Examination.
