Software Developer
Position Type: Federal Work Study Or Non Work Study
We are seeking motivated and talented student software developers to join our web application development team. The ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in web technologies, a keen interest in software engineering, and a passion for creating impactful solutions. As a Student Software Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of the web application, gaining valuable real- world experience and making a significant contribution to the project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Collaborate with the project team to design and develop high-quality web applications.
- Coding: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Backend Development: Work on server-side development using technologies such as Node.js, Python (Django/Flask), or PHP and databases such as MongoDB.
- Collaboration: Work closely with fellow students, faculty advisors, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and implement solutions.
- Problem Solving: Assist in identifying and resolving technical challenges and bugs.
- Testing: Participate in the testing and debugging of the web application to ensure functionality and performance.
- Documentation: Help create and maintain project documentation, including design specifications, code comments, and user manuals.
- Learning: Actively engage in learning new technologies and development practices as needed for the project.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in the Computer Science program at the University of Detroit Mercy - Junior or senior standing
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
