Peer Mentor
Position Type: Federal Work Study or Non-Work Study
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- TRIO Student Support Services is seeking to hire Peer Mentors for the next academic year, 2023-2024! We are a federally funded retention program that provides academic support and professional development to students! Peer Mentors will be expected to commit to at least 10 hours/ week. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Possess extensive knowledge of campus support programs and resources.
- Attend all staff training sessions and meetings.
- Create marketing and promotional material for skill labs and other events.
- Assist with developing content and activities for TRIO Events.
- Facilitate individual and group mentoring and/or tutoring sessions with students.
- Complete all other tasks and duties as directed.
- Excellent communication, organizational, people and computer skills. Individuals who are detail-oriented, respect confidentiality, dependable, reliable, responsible and possess a high level of accuracy and pride in their work are encouraged to apply.

- 9 AM-9 PM M-F
