Fitness Lead

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Fitness Lead supports the development, promotion, and execution of fitness programs, ensuring smooth operations and participant satisfaction. Working under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Fitness, this role provides hands-on leadership experience in fitness programming while promoting health and wellness across campus.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, planning, and implementing fitness programs tailored to student needs.
- Set up and tear down equipment for fitness classes, ensuring spaces are clean and organized.
- Instruct fitness classes as needed or assist instructors with logistics and participant engagement.
- Develop and distribute promotional materials, including posters, social media content, and digital ads.
- Ensure fitness spaces are welcoming, safe, and inclusive for all participants.
- Address participant concerns and assist with conflict resolution to ensure positive experiences.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience in fitness or general knowledge of fitness and exercise principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage participants and promote programs effectively.
- Proven ability to resolve conflicts professionally and efficiently.
- A genuine interest in fostering an inclusive and welcoming fitness environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Availability to work afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends.
