Intramural Sports Lead, Recreation
Position Type: Federal Work Study or Non-Work Study
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Intramural Sports Lead is responsible for facilitating and the supervision of IM sporting events and managing a safe playing atmosphere for IM participants.
- Intramural sports may include volleyball, soccer, basketball, softball, football, and other sports. The Intramural Sports Lead will work under the Assistant Director of University Recreation on the program planning, development, and leading.
- This position provides a great opportunity to develop practical leadership skills and to develop your sports management experience.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sports.
- General knowledge of sports and their policies and procedures.
- Good leadership skills and ability to effectively supervise others.
- Possess good written and oral communication skills.
- Possess good conflict resolution skills.
- A genuine interest in serving students.
- Available to work afternoons, evenings, and some weekends.
- Thorough knowledge of the officiating aspect of sports.
Anticipated Schedule:
- Hours are 7 AM-10 PM Monday - Friday 1 PM-8 PM Sat & Sun.
