Mental Health Clinical Director

We are an approximately 10-year-old company in Norfolk, VA is expanding. Our company provides behavioral health skill building, community crisis, mobile crisis, intensive in-home and Substance abuse supports. We see both adults and children that are primarily Medicaid recipients. Our main office is in Norfolk, Virginia and we have an office in Hampton, Virginia as well to provide ample coverage throughout the 7 cities.

  • responsible for oversight of the clinical program at the assigned location. The position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of all clinical services offered to clients.
  • Position is responsible for overall clinical case management of clients, to include medical, counseling, educational, vocational and recreational services
  • This position will require on call services as needed
  • Duties include but are not limited to crisis

Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct social work services which include crisis intervention, individual, family and group counseling, in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary team and completion of relevant documents, psychosocial evaluations, and treatment/shared care plans.
  • Supervises and assists different Program Directors in the implementation of OMH and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Provides off hours coverage
  • Participates in quality assurance and CQI activities
  • Provides and/or ensures clinical and on-site supervision for staff.
  • Analyzes and evaluates the quantitative and qualitative performance of supervisees and completes probationary and annual performance evaluations for staff within expected time frames.
  • Oversees orientation and training with new staff.
  • Reports to CEO of the Company

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree is required in human services filed, LMHP current LPC or LCSW Certification. 
  • Additional CSAC certifications desired.
  • Successful work experience as a licensed professional in the field. Education of other allied discipline in accordance with 12 VAC35-105-420
  • Position requires up-to date LCP or LCSW certification
  • Willingness to work in stressful situations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to lecture and give presentations
  • DMV License
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments at any time 
  • Ability to generate, interpret and analyze data from multiple sources
  • Ability to provide advanced clinical supervision to interns and staff
  • Supervisory experience in health care setting
