Student Assistant, Communication and Marketing - CHP
Position Type: Federal Work Study Only
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Liaison with Student Groups and External Partners: Act as a bridge between the Center and various student organizations, external partners, and faculty members. Facilitate communication and collaboration to promote the Center's initiatives and events.
- Content Creation and Website Management: Regularly update the Center's website with news, events, and other relevant content. Ensure the information is current, accurate, and engaging.
- Marketing and Promotional Activities: Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to enhance the visibility of the Center. This includes creating promotional materials, managing a social media presence, and engaging with the university community through various platforms.
- Event Coordination: Play a supportive role in organizing and promoting events such as workshops, seminars, and conferences. Coordinate logistics, manage registrations, and assist in post-event follow-ups.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Detroit Mercy.
- Knowledge or interest in technology, AI, or related fields is a plus.
- Experience or interest in website management and content creation.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Anticipated Schedule:
- 5-8 Hours Per Week.
