Ministry Leadership Residency

As carriers of the Gospel, we hope that our engagement with our local and global community is so significant that if North Metro Church (NMC) ceased to exist, we would be missed. As we carry out the mission to help people find and follow Jesus, we want to help close a gap that a multitude of studies have recently exposed: there is a shortage of ministry leaders for the future Church (https://www.barna.com/research/pastoral-succession/).

To help equip the called, NMC is partnering with Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) to offer ministry leadership training opportunities through a residency program. Residents of this 2-year program are full-time Masters of Arts in Christian Leadership (MACL) students and part-time church staff, thus receiving tangible professional ministry experience and a formal seminary education.  Our vision is that this program becomes an avenue where we can equip future ministry leaders to help people find and follow Jesus.

Students in the MACL program will demonstrate a general knowledge of the Bible by studying all 66 books. They will build a Christian theological framework that they will be able to articulate and support while also developing a biblical philosophy of Christian leadership.
