HR Coordinator

The team at Workforce Solutions has the privilege of providing HR consulting and recruiting services to business owners, fellow HR professionals, or anyone who lacks the resources to fully execute their HR strategy. From compliance to recruiting and everything in between, we partner with businesses to keep their people strategy on track. As an affiliate of the MBE CPAs family of companies, we also provide full HR support to 250+ employees across 19 offices.

What would my day look like?

This role can touch many areas that help our clients succeed. Our current service menu includes providing talent acquisition services with a specialization in working with CPA firms, HR consulting and outsourcing services, and HR technology solutions to automate the recruiting process with an ATS. This role would focus on supporting our clients with HR administrative tasks including:

  • Employee records management (e.g., personnel files, I-9s, compliance tracking)
  • New hire paperwork processing & onboarding documentation
  • HRIS (Human Resource Information System) data entry and maintenance
  • Processing employment verifications & reference checks
  • Managing employee requests (PTO, benefits inquiries)
  • Employee handbook & policy documentation
  • Employee status changes (promotions, transfers, terminations)
  • Leave of Absence (LOA) administration (FMLA, ADA, state leave laws)
  • Unemployment claim response and management
  • Handling I-9 and E-Verify compliance
  • Managing required labor law posters & employee notifications
  • Managing onboarding checklists & documentation
  • Conducting new hire orientation sessions
  • Setting up employees in HR and payroll systems
  • Managing probationary periods & check-ins
  • Managing offboarding documentation
  • Collecting company property & deactivating system access
  • Managing benefits administration (enrollment, changes, terminations)
  • Administering open enrollment & employee communications
  • Answering employee benefits questions & resolving claims issues
  • Tracking and managing paid time off (PTO), sick leave, and FMLA
  • Overseeing 401(k) or retirement plan administration

What experience and skills do I need to be successful?

A positive attitude, skills to leverage automation for efficiency, and passion for employee/candidate experience is a must. If you aren't embracing HR best practices and HR technology or view employees as a nuisance, this role is not a fit for you. We are seeking HR pros who are passionate about what they do and how they help our clients and employees. Ideally, you have:

  • Strong computer skills for working daily in HR software and embracing automation.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills for interacting with clients and teams.
  • Strong organization, project management, and time management skills to execute projects with quality and within deadlines.
  • Experience working in HR is preferred to bring foundational knowledge of HR best practices to apply with clients. We are willing to train candidates with transferrable skills.
  • Commitment to using HR best practices and excitement for the changes that come with a growing company.
  • Experience working in the isolved HCM is a plus.

What will my schedule look like?

This role supports business hours Monday-Friday 8a-5p, but we pride ourselves on allowing team members to flex around any personal passions or family time as long as business needs are being met.
