The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join the team at the Woodward Resource Center (WRC). This is a full-time position with opportunity for growth and development.

What You'll Do
As a Respiratory Therapist at WRC, your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver compassionate and effective respiratory care interventions and treatments, including the initiation of ventilatory support and administration of aerosolized medications.
- Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status and vital signs, ensuring prompt and accurate interventions as needed.
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment with precision and expertise, including oxygen administration devices, ventilators, humidifiers, and nebulizers.
- Obtain arterial blood samples for analysis, ensuring meticulous attention to accuracy and adherence to protocol.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.

- Demonstrated knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques for a variety of cardiorespiratory diseases.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques and equipment maintenance procedures.

- Exceptional communication skills, fostering effective collaboration with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
