Design Intern/ Entry Level Fire Sprinkler Designer

This Design Intern/ Entry Level Fire Sprinkler Designer position is currently looking to fill several positions for the summer or for a full-time position in one of our three locations. 

The overall responsibility of this position is to help senior drafting/designers of Fire Sprinkler Systems. 

This position will be responsible for small projects (including survey, stocklisting and drafting), complete and maintain operation and maintenance manuals and close-out for all company projects, assist with cleanup of fabrication drawings, assist other designers on large projects, design drawing set-up, and conduct water flow tests. 

Required skills for this position are as follows:  quality communication and organizational skills, work well with others in a team environment, ability to study, learn, and understand new concepts, the ability to comprehend and understand verbal and/or written instructions, must have proficient computer skills - knowledge and use of AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc., must have some understanding of building construction and must have a valid driver's license.
