Position Type: Federal Work Study or Non-Work Study 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Adventure Series Lead is responsible for facilitating the planning, marketing, and supervision of adventure series trips. 
  • Trips may include things such as hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, paddling, archery, and other activities. 
  • The Adventure Series Lead will work under the Assistant Director of University Recreation for the program planning and operations. 
  • This position provides a great opportunity to develop practical leadership skills and outdoors experience.

 

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Interest in outdoor recreation. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • Willingness to learn and grow. 
  • Driver's license 
  • Solid organizational skills. 
  • Ability to think clearly in a stressful environment. 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work extended hours on your feet, often with a heavy backpack of up to 60 pounds.

 

Anticipated Schedule:

  • Hours are 7 AM-10 PM Monday - Friday 1 PM-8 PM Sat & Sun.
